What does a typical session look like?

Sessions are collaborative and conversational. We work together in the present, with a future-focused orientation toward your goals. Depending on your needs, sessions may include solution-focused problem-solving, reflection, or exploring patterns in thoughts, emotions, and relationships.

What if I’m not sure what my goals are yet?

That’s completely okay. Many people begin counseling with a general sense that something feels off or that they want more clarity. We can take time to explore what matters to you and allow goals to emerge naturally through the work.

Do I have to talk about trauma to work with you?

No. While some people find that processing trauma can bring relief and emotional freedom, it is never a requirement. The direction and depth of therapy are always guided by you. I provide trauma-informed care and prioritize emotional safety, no matter what you choose to focus on.

Do you accept insurance?

I provide services on an out-of-pocket basis. If your insurance offers out-of-network benefits, I can provide a receipt for you to submit for potential reimbursement. Feel free to reach out with any questions.

What's your session rate?

My rate is 125 per session. I reserve a number of sliding scale appointments for those who many not otherwise be able to afford counseling. You can contact me below to schedule a session with me.
